Originally from Seattle, Dave Jennings worked in Chicago for thirteen years before moving to the Washington, D.C., where he is vice president of education at the Community Associations Institute and serves a concurrent role as executive director of the Foundation for Community Association Research. Jennings has worked with international education at the National Association of Realtors and the American Society for Training and Development.

He also volunteers with industry groups, such as the American Society of Association Executives, and he is certified by the Society for Human Resource Management and is a consultant certificate program assessor for ANSI, the American National Standards Institute. After receiving a BA in international relations from BYU, Jennings received an MOB in corporate training from Loyola University Chicago. He served a mission to Finland and later returned there to work in a banking internship.
